ReUI is a premium component library and registry built on top of shadcn/ui for React + Tailwind projects. The free tier extends the standard shadcn library with custom primitives (Data Grid, Kanban, Filters, and more) that cover patterns shadcn doesn't ship. Paid tiers add hundreds of production-ready blocks, animated icons, and full-page templates. Use ReUI when you want to ship faster without rebuilding the same screens (auth flows, dashboards, settings, billing, marketing pages) from scratch.

What are "ReUI custom primitives" and how do they differ from shadcn/ui?

Headless React + Tailwind components that extend shadcn/ui with features the upstream set doesn't ship: Data Grid (sortable, filterable, paginated table on TanStack Table), Filters (composable search bar with chips and facets), Alert (severity + dismiss), Badge (more variants), Kanban (dnd-kit drag-and-drop), plus Stepper, Tree, Autocomplete, Phone Input, Number Field, Date Selector, Rating, Timeline, Scrollspy, Sortable, Icon Stack, and Frame. All free, themable via your stock shadcn CSS variables.

Can I see the code before I buy?

Yes. Every block, component, and primitive has a live interactive preview on the site plus a read-only code view that shows the full source, dependency list, and registry metadata. Resize, dark-mode-toggle, and theme-customize each preview to confirm it fits your design. The paywall is only on the install and copy-code actions.

How do I install a block or component?

Via the shadcn CLI, on a project that already has shadcn/ui initialized. Each page shows the exact command, for example: pnpm dlx shadcn@latest add @reui/authentication-1. The CLI copies the source into your project's components directory. Works with Next.js, Vite, Remix, Astro, and TanStack Start.

Can I modify the components after installing?

Accepted Answer

Completely. The CLI copies the source files into your project, so you own that code, same as stock shadcn/ui. Edit styles, swap icons, rewrite logic, refactor structure. No runtime dependency on ReUI, no version lock-in.

Question 7

Does ReUI support dark mode and theme customization?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every component reads from your shadcn theme tokens (--background, --foreground, --primary, --radius, font family). Dark mode flips automatically when your app toggles the .dark class (next-themes, useTheme, etc.). The site demos this with a runtime theme picker so you can preview any block in any color scheme before installing.

Are the components accessible (a11y / WCAG)?

Yes. Interactive primitives are built on Radix UI under the hood, which ships WAI-ARIA roles, keyboard navigation, focus management, and screen-reader announcements out of the box. Custom primitives (Data Grid, Filters, Kanban, etc.) follow the same patterns. Marketing and content blocks use semantic HTML with proper landmark roles and labels.

Does ReUI work with AI coding agents like Codex, Claude, Cursor, Opencode, Copilot and others?

Yes. Every block preview has a "Copy AI prompt" action in the toolbar that bundles the block's source, install command, dependency list, and usage notes into a single LLM-friendly markdown payload. Paste it into Codex, Claude, Cursor, Opencode, GitHub Copilot Workspace, v0, Lovable, or any chat model and the agent has everything it needs to scaffold your screen from the block.

How do I get updates and support?

What's the difference between Pro and Ultimate?

Pro unlocks all 976 premium blocks. Ultimate adds two more libraries on top: 562 motion icons (2,248 variants across 4 styles) and a growing library of full-page templates. Both plans share commercial-use rights, lifetime updates, and the free shadcn components.

Which plan should I start with?

Accepted Answer

Pro if you mostly need blocks and components for application or marketing UIs. Ultimate if you also want animated icons or want to start from a full-page template instead of stitching blocks. You can upgrade Pro to Ultimate later and only pay the difference.

Is this a subscription?

Accepted Answer

No. ReUI is a one-time payment with lifetime updates. You pay once and keep access forever, including every future block, icon, template, and bug fix. No renewal, no auto-charge, no expiry.

Can I upgrade my plan or seat tier later?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Upgrade Pro to Ultimate, or move up a seat tier (Solo, Team, Business, Enterprise), from your account dashboard. You only pay the price gap, not a full re-purchase. Your existing license key keeps working.

Will my price change after I buy?

Accepted Answer

No. Once you purchase at a given price, that's your price forever. We grandfather existing customers when we bump prices for new buyers, including all future content (new blocks, icons, templates). Upgrade pricing (Pro to Ultimate or seat-tier bumps) uses the gap between your current license and today's price for the target tier.

Are there discounts (students, open source, startups)?

We don't run a standing student, OSS, or startup discount program. Promotional discounts surface occasionally for waitlist members, product launches, and select Black Friday windows. Cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, and (for Business / Enterprise) bank transfer or invoice. Payments run through Paddle, our merchant of record. Listed prices are pre-tax; Paddle adds VAT, GST, or sales tax at checkout based on your country and emails a compliant invoice with your company / tax ID details.

What's the difference between Solo, Team, Business, and Enterprise?

Only the seat count. Solo = 1 developer. Team = up to 5. Business = up to 20. Enterprise = unlimited within your organization. Every tier unlocks the same library and the same commercial rights, so pick by team size, not project scope.

Who counts as a seat?

Accepted Answer

Any developer or designer who actively works with the ReUI source files (browses the registry, installs components, modifies them). QA testers, stakeholders reviewing PRs, and CI/CD processes do not count.

Can I use ReUI in client work, SaaS, or commercial products?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every tier permits unlimited commercial use: paid SaaS, client deliverables, marketing sites, internal tools. No per-project fee, no revenue threshold.

Can I use ReUI in open-source projects?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can ship open-source apps that include ReUI components, even on a Solo license. The restriction is on repackaging ReUI itself: you can't publish a "free ReUI mirror," a competing component library, or a theme marketplace built from ReUI's source. Using ReUI to build an open-source product is fine.

Can my clients or contractors access the source I install?

Clients automatically get the installed code as part of your deliverable: it's just files in their repo to read, modify, and deploy. Contractors working in your codebase count as seats only if they actively browse the registry or install new components. A contractor who only edits source you've already installed does not count toward your seat cap.

Can I resell ReUI components in a template I sell?

Accepted Answer

You can ship ReUI components inside an app you sell, that's normal commercial use. You cannot repackage ReUI itself and resell it as a competing component library, template marketplace, or theme. ReUI inside your product: allowed. ReUI as your product: not allowed.

Upgrade to the next seat tier from your account dashboard and pay only the difference. For example, Team (5 seats) to Business (20 seats) on the Pro plan costs $2500. No re-purchase, no downtime.
